OLEG ZAREMSKYY


        Oleg Zaremsky was born in 1981 in Ternopil (Ukraine) into a family of musicians. Since the age of 5 he began learning to play the piano from his father, Grigory Zaremsky, professor of solo pianoforte at Ternopil Music College. At the age of 8 goes in for clarinet, then saxophone.

        In 1999 graduates from Ternopil Krushelnytska Music College with two diplomas: in piano and clarinet. In the same year admitted to the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine, which he graduated in 2004 in clarinet, saxophone, jazz improvisation (Professor Yu. Vasilevich's class) and chamber ensemble (adjunct professor Seredenko's class).

        His mastery of performing has been noted by prominent specialists and critics at various contests and festivals of music.

        1996 - Regional Contest of young brass performers (3rd prize);

        2001 - OBEREGI International festival (1st prize);

        2002 - 21st Century Art International Contest (Vorzel, Ukraine) (2nd prize);

        2003 - D. BIDA International Contest (Lviv, Ukraine) (3rd prize);

        2004 - 21st Century Art International Contest (Vorzel, Ukraine) (1st prize)

        His performance is distinguished by elaborate style and fine taste together with high professionalism of clarinet performance. His repertoire includes Motzart, Weber and Schpor concerts; all chamber pieces of Brahms, Beethoven, Poulenc, Miyo, Messian, Hindemit, Berg as well as Motzart, Schubert, Schumann, Debussi, Glinka, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Khatchaturian, and contemporary composers.

        At present time Oleg Zaremsky extensively tours Ukraine and abroad.
